What is the best headphones for travel by plane? Bose Qc2 or Etymotic in ear design?
I've read mixed reviews of Bose QC2 headphones regarding the sound quality and price value, and great reviews of Etymotic in-ear headphone design. I would like to know one stand point of comfort and sound quality which are the best headphones for travel especially air transport.
It is a matter of preference, really. If you like in the ears, I have heard that Etymotic is good. Personally Shure headphones as E4C. They are very comfortable and have very high quality drivers. I have provided links for you below. If you prefer old style "to" headphones, Bose QC headphones on the road. I also have a pair of original Headphones QC and love them on planes. They are very comfortable for long trips. A major differences in the two types (except in-ear/over-ear) is the way to deal with ambient sound. In-ear headphones are sound isolating. This means that they insulate you from the sound (Duh!). How is that? They do it by blocking any sound from entering the ear canal. She is similar to earplugs in this regard. At the same time they block outside noise, they pump in good noise (music). Noise Reduction it differently. They "hear" sounds, coming to your ears. After miliseconds, they generate sound wave that is opposite background noise. I am not a physicist, but basically when you have two sound exactly the opposite waves, they cancel each other completely. Then add the signal from your IPod to your provide clean music. If you have not tried noise, I suggest to try it. Some people do not like the experience. When I first them on time and flip the switch, it is simply go deaf. This is weird and amazing. Personally I think that the noise canceling headphones do a better job of blocking noise in the ears. Neither is the ideal solution. For me, I love you to bring the Bose QC headphones on the plane with me. I feel better, less tired after long trip when I wear them than when I do not. Indeed, even if I'm not listening Music will bring them to reduce noise of jet engines. It really works. other consideration is bulk. In QC boxes will be much larger and bulky to travel from simple ear buds. Whether It is paid for you can not say. But there are definitely times when I pull my Shure buds to take with you instead of QC, because they are so small. As and, I hope this helps you. If you more questions, please let me know.
