Do you get to this point not liking how long iPhone battery charge lasts? Or were you like me and always tried to use the phone while it is attached? (So much for a "mobile" phone) I have researched three options for replacement Battery of your iPhone.
Option 1) Apple
Have the original Apple iPhone Battery Replace
If you want Apple to replace the battery will cost $ 79, plus $ 6.95 for shipping. During this process your iPhone will be erased completely! Time will take is about a week from the day the iPhone is sent to Apple.
Option 2) DIY
Replace Original iPhone Battery with yourself.
If you want to replace the battery yourself, you will need to find and buy the correct battery for about $ 19.99 (You can not just buy a piece of Apple -! To be careful where you buy it). Once you purchase the iPhone Battery, here are the steps you would take to replace the battery.
[Warning!] Replacing the battery yourself voids your Apple warranty iPhone for your product. Only attempt this activity if you are certain you can execute the task properly and we are sure that you are either out of warranty or will not have to use your warranty.
Tools: You will need to have some tools such as a small Phillips screwdriver and a Spudger (A tool used to poking wiring or adjusting the wires or small components.)
1. Find the small hole near the headphone jack. Push the tip of a needle or paperclip into the hole show sim tray out.
2. Hold your device at the end to find two small screws on both sides of the dock. Remove the screws using a screwdriver small Phillips.
3. Insert a circle spudger between chrome and glass front panel directly above one of the screw holes. Mild curiosity separate display panel back.
4. Lift up the panel dock late careful not to break any tears or ribbons tied by the other end.
5. Continue to hold panel screen with one hand, and use your other hand and a black spudger to disconnect the ribbon cable labeled "1".
6. Rotate the display assembly up until it is nearly vertical. This will allow easy access to the remaining disconnecting the cables.
7. Use a black spudger to disconnect the ribbon cable labeled "2."
8. Use a flip up spudger in white plastic tab holding the remaining ribbon cable in place. White tab will rotate up 90 degrees, releasing the ribbon cable.
9. Slide from black ribbon cable to its connector, and remove the display assembly from the iPhone.
10. Remove the 8 screws around the motherboard:
Five 2.3 mm Phillips screws securing the partial threads on the logic board back panel.
Two 2.3 mm Phillips screws with threads Full providing logic board and camera.
One 2.9 mm Phillips screw from the bottom: "Do not remove" sticker.
11. Unplug ribbon "4."
12. Give mother board out. Be careful not to tear the ribbon connecting the camera to the underside of the board.
13. Unplug the connecting ribbon and place mother board aside.
14. Use a mild curiosity spudger camera up and from his residence on the rear panel. This camera camera can not be completely removed but because of its link at the bottom of the logic board.
15. Use a soft spudger pry the end of the logic board near the dock connector. If the board will not give up, double check to ensure that all screws securing the logic board are removed.
16. Slide the logic board to the dock connector and iPhone.
17. Using any strength, pull up the tab attached to the battery to remove.
18. Replace batteries
19. To reassemble your iPhone, repeat previous steps in reverse (another 17 steps).
Option 3) iPhone Battery Backup
Buy a battery or external Battery Backup
If you want to make your iPhone last longer and want a solution that is less intrusive, check out these alternatives. You can get an external battery backup that extends your time to use up to 2x and charge your iPhone at the same time (works with iPods too!). If you have an iPhone 4, consider a case Rechargable Battery. This is a protective exoskeleton iPhone 4, equipped with an external rechargeable battery to provide extra battery life iPhone.
