OK I was washing dishes and had headset in my ear and was ipod .. I guess the counter and turned my ipod touch and fell in the sink and ran water on top of it ... it was still on and dry it immediately and tried to blow the water out my mouth (was panicking more to look for a blow dryer) .. while it was figured it was okay so they began to hear it again, but complaints volume there wasn't so hooked it up to the charger .. nothing happened so I tried to turn it .. it took a while and she began to turn in and out repeatedly ... watched it online and not sitting in a bowl of uncooked rice ..... will this work ??... How long should I let it sit? my mom cannot find out about this because my sister broke hers and she already will be super pissed if i told her about mine .... got it about two years ago for Christmas so I have no guarantee

I would say you only have one good option because it is water damaged, parts are bad, as well, so getting it repaired will not do anything if you do not replace anything. wait until the iPod is completely dry, you may not think it's wet, but it still can be, in a few days / weeks check back on and see if it is working, if not then take it to Apple and they will tell you further options, but i doubt you can do anything from there. My friend had his iPod Touch on his jeans in the washing machine. does not work for a month but one day he tried again and it started working, so you can take your chances with that
